“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” -Carl Sagan
When I was searching the internet for information, I came across this beautiful saying and realised how applicable it is to all of us: children, parents, and teachers. There is never a time in a person's life when he may say, "There is nothing more to learn; I can relax with the soothing feeling that the universe around me is an open book." “I'm an expert in everything.”
Education is more than merely learning and teaching courses at school. Being educated entails more than attending school and then college, earning certifications, and feeling pleased of one's accomplishments. It's a lifelong practice that can be quite exciting if we just want to hop on the train of life and travel to every conceivable location on the planet. Now that we know this can't be done literally, how do we deal with it first in school and then as we progress through life?
To begin, we must all be on the same page: students, teachers, and parents must recognise that education is more than just lessons given in the classroom from textbooks. Children should be encouraged to ask as many questions as they can by their parents and teachers. Because it is the desire to know that leads to genuine knowledge. The desire for knowledge is not limited to children. It is equally critical for parents and teachers to continue to add to their own knowledge bank by keeping their eyes and ears open and reading as much as possible, and to ensure that their children do the same.
